Social Studies Fair: example projects

These pages show what a finished Social Studies Fair project looks like. Use them to get ideas for your own project. Your project should be about your own question, in your own words.

Two example projects

These two projects were made for our class as models. No real student made them. The names, the survey numbers and the hand-drawn pictures are made up to show you how each part should look.

Grade 3 Lights, Camera, ACHOO! The First Movies Question: "Who made the first movies, and what happened to them?" See the board, the summary, the list of sources, the three source sheets and the interview notes. Grades 4 and 5 The Law That Didn't Last: Georgia's Ban on Slavery Question: "Was there a law against slavery when Georgia first started?" See the board, the summary, the sources, the three source sheets, a survey and the interview notes.

Tip: on a phone, turn it sideways or pinch to zoom in on the board.

Projects from past fairs

Other schools have shared photos of their students' fair projects. Look at the boards for ideas. Each link opens another website.
